BANGKOK (FIBA U19 World Championship for Women) - Having sailed through tougher challenges earlier, Russia cruised past Tunisia 93-41 to complete their preliminary round Group C engagements with an unbeaten record.
Coach Olga Shuneykina rested her highest scorer in the wins against Canada and Japan – Tatiana Petrushina who had an average of 13 PPG in the first two games – but that made no difference to the Russian campaign.
All the others played for at least five minutes each, with Anna Ostroukhova and Yana Panevina leading the scoring with 13 points each.
Anastasiya Shilova and Veronika Derosheva chipped in with 11 points apiece.
Lilia Inoubli fought another lonely battle for Tunisia with a game-high 18 points, but finished on the losing side yet again.
