Brazil now hold a 2-0 record and play Lithuania on Saturday. Czech Republic who beat Lithuania on Thursday take on hosts Thailand.

The Czechs strove hard to make up for Klala Rosenbaumova's confinement to the bench due to an ankle injury in their win against Lithuania, but fell short against the cohesive Brazilians.

Debora da Costa led the scoring for the game with 18 points - with an 8/16 record from the field, including converting two of her four three-pointer attempts.

Tatiane Nacimiento and Leila Zabani provided splendid support in scoring with 13 points each.

There was no questioning Brazil's supremacy in the game especially after they had raced away to 9-0 lead in the first five minutes.

Alena Hanusova led the scoring for the Czechs with 17 points.
